Our Summer Theatre Program for Teens is an immersive, pre-professional style experience designed for young performers who are ready to deepen their craft and push their creative limits. Throughout the summer, students participate in specialized workshops in vocal performance, dance, and acting, alongside skill-building sessions focused on audition technique, character development, and ensemble work.
We also bring in guest artists and industry professionals to lead masterclasses, presentations, and Q&A sessions—giving students rare access to real-world insight and inspiration from working artists. The program culminates in a fully staged, professionally produced musical (this year, Footloose: The Musical), complete with lights, sound, costumes, and sets—giving teens the opportunity to apply everything they’ve learned in a high-quality theatrical environment. Whether students are pursuing theatre seriously or are simply passionate about performing, this program offers a challenging, supportive, and creatively charged summer on stage. Participation in the Summer Theatre Program for Teens requires an audition. Auditions will be held on May 9th & May 10th, with callbacks on May 10th at the completion of auditions. Following auditions, a cast list will be released, and accepted students will have 5 days from the date of casting notification to submit their registration fees ($250) in order to secure their spot in the program. We understand that students may be working jobs throughout the summer and, with transparent communication, are able to work around schedules (within reason). |
NEW THIS YEAR: Twistid Technical Lab (Ages 14–18)
.Twistid Technical Lab is our brand-new, hands-on training program for students interested in the behind-the-scenes magic of theatre. Working closely with our Technical Director, participants will learn the fundamentals of lighting, sound, and projection design, as well as practical skills in equipment operation, troubleshooting, cueing, and show flow.
Students in the Lab will be embedded in real productions throughout the summer--running lights, sound, and projections for the Kids Summer Camp production and assisting with technical operations for the Summer Theatre Program for Teens. This immersive approach gives students meaningful, real-world experience in a supportive, educational environment while building confidence, collaboration skills, and a strong foundation in theatrical technology.
Perfect for curious creatives, problem-solvers, and future designers, Twistid Technical Lab offers a powerful introduction to the technical side of live performance.
Tech lab students will still need to register for an audition slot to meet in person with our technical director. Only 6 slots are available in this program. Scheduling is different for this program, as it will intertwine with our Summer Theatre Camp for Kids. Program fees are the same as for our teen summer theatre program: $250. Some Scholarship funding is available upon qualification - please click here for more information.

Before auditions, you’ll be given sheet music, tracks, and a choreography video. Learn it. Live in it. Make choices. We’re not looking for copy-and-paste performances—we want to see you inside the material.
Acting auditions will be done as cold reads.
That means you won’t be handed a monologue ahead of time. Instead, you’ll receive a scene at the audition, get a few minutes to look it over, and then jump in. No memorization. No safety net. Just instinct, connection, and bold choices in the moment.
Cold reads tell us everything—how you think, how you adapt, how you listen.
Come ready to take direction. Come ready to commit. Come ready to risk something.
Because Footloose isn’t quiet. And neither are we.
