Our Children's Theatre Summer Program brings a spectacular musical performance of The Wizard of Oz to life for kids this summer of 2025. Led by seasoned theater professionals, this program is set to inspire and showcase the creativity of our young performers. This program is for children ages 5-13 years old. Rehearsals will run twice a week (evenings) through the summer at the Twistid Arts Initiative Visual & Performing Arts Studios, with three performances taking place at the Historic Valerie Theatre in Downtown Inverness on August 1st-3rd. This production will include full-scale costumes and sets from our professional theatrical team. |
Auditions
Auditions for our children's summer theatre program will be on May 10th at the Twistid Arts Initiative Visual & Performing Arts Studios (208 W Highland Blvd, Inverness 34452).
All children will be required to audition. Children looking to work on the technical side (backstage, etc.) will still need to attend auditions but will not be required to perform. Materials for auditions can be downloaded below. Please note: given the large interest in this year's program, we will not be able to accept all applicants. Once the cast list is finalized, we will notify each actor directly on acceptance status. |
Rehearsal Dates
Rehearsals will take place at the Twistid Arts Initiative Visual & Performing Arts Studios. Not all students will be required at every rehearsal - once casting is released, you will be able to determine which dates are required for your character. Rehearsal dates are subject to change. A more detailed rehearsal schedule with which characters are required each day and what we will be focusing on for each rehearsal will be sent out with the cast list. Please note, rehearsals are mandatory once we move into the performance venue (tech week).
