🎤 AUDITIONS & CASTING
No upfront auditions required prior to registration. Auditions will be held after registration closes, and students will participate in fun acting, movement, and storytelling activities so teaching artists can thoughtfully assign roles.
Every camper will participate in the show's production. Not every student will be required to be onstage, however. We do understand that not every child wants to be in the spotlight - we have opened 5 slots for students to work in a backstage format. Our goal is inclusion, encouragement, and helping each child shine in a way that feels comfortable and exciting for them.
🌟 WHY THEATRE MATTERS
Arts education plays a vital role in a child’s development, especially during the early years. Theatre gives young people a safe space to imagine, explore emotions, build confidence, and connect with others. Through play-based learning and collaboration, students learn how to express themselves, take creative risks, and work as part of a team.
At Twistid Arts Initiative, we believe theatre is not just about putting on a show — it’s about helping children grow into confident, compassionate, and creative humans. The skills gained in this program carry far beyond the stage and into school, friendships, and everyday life.
🎨 WHAT CAMPERS WILL LEARN
ℹ️ OTHER THINGS TO KNOW
Cancellation Policy:
All registrations are non-refundable due to licensing, staffing, and production commitments. In the case of a medical withdrawal, a non-transferable prorated credit may be issued with a doctor’s note for a future Twistid Arts Initiative education program.
Program Costs:
Registration Fee: $50 non-refundable. Due at time of registration.
Camp Fee: $150 per week
Registration Information:
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Slots are limited this year - only 35 slots are available for our 2026 camp.
Live Production Information:
Our Summer Theatre Program for Kids productions are open to the general public. This will be our third year in operation - our previous two years of Kids Summer Theatre shows have completely SOLD OUT -- and early. We do urge parents to purchase tickets as soon as they go on sale. Please be sure to keep an eye on your emails and social media to be notified of when tickets go on sale.
There may be a need to add a 4th show. In previous years, we have had to add a show to ensure that all families can see the production. If we do add an additional showing, it would be a matinee on the Saturday of the show weekend. Please keep this in mind when scheduling your summer plans.
