COOTER CARNIVAL: Oct 13 from 12-4 pmBack by popular demand, the Cooter Carnival returns on October 13th! Join us for a day of family-friendly carnival fun! Featuring strolling acrobats, free face painting, food trucks, a pumpkin design competition, and tons of carnival games provided by local Citrus County businesses, this event embodies Inverness's motto of "Small Town Done Right."
Cooter Carnival is presented by The City of Inverness and Twistid Arts Initiative and will be a free, family-friendly event on October 13th, 2024. |
Pumpkin Design Competition at the Cooter CarnivalLet your spooky creativity fly with this free competition! Carve, paint, collage, tile - design your pumpkin using any methods you desire. Then, bring it to the Cooter Carnival on October 13th to be judged by a panel of expert judges.
We'll announce the winners during the Carnival. Winners will be presented with an award. |

Local Business Opportunity
We're looking for local businesses that want to get involved with the second annual Cooter Carnival: a Cootertober Event! This is a hands-on, community-driven event featuring a Cooter Race (potato sack race), a pumpkin design contest, and more!
Help us throw an amazing event for the community, all while getting your business in front of future customers! There is no vendor fee for this event; however, businesses are required to present booths that fit the Cooter Carnival theme and offer a free carnival game for kids and families. Last year's inaugural event saw over 5,000 people in attendance - so it's a great, low-cost way to market your business and connect with local customers. This year we've added awards for the best presented booths - so bring your A-game Citrus County!
