Aimed at providing an immersive and inclusive art class experience for individuals of all ages and skill levels, this 12-week program, hosted by the Twistid Arts Initiative, is designed to cultivate creativity, develop technical skills, and build a supportive artistic community. At the end of the course, there will be a gallery event to showcase the student's work, which will be open to the public.
The program is $200 total (less than $17 a class). All required materials are included. Registration is only open until May 10th.

What to Expect:
I. Program Overview:
a. Introduction:
- Twistid Arts Academy is an immersive art class program hosted by the Twistid Arts Initiative, aimed at cultivating creativity and artistic expression among participants.
b. Duration:
- A 12-week program with weekly sessions, providing a sustained and deep exploration of artistic techniques and concepts.
c. Target Audience:
- Open to individuals of all ages and skill levels, fostering a diverse and inclusive creative community.
II. Objectives and Goals:
a. Encourage Artistic Exploration:
- Facilitate an environment that encourages participants to explore various artistic mediums, styles, and techniques.
b. Develop Technical Skills:
- Provide hands-on instruction to enhance participants' technical skills in painting, drawing, and mixed media.
c. Foster Creativity and Innovation:
- Cultivate a mindset of creative thinking, problem-solving, and innovation through art projects that encourage outside-the-box approaches.
d. Build a Supportive Artistic Community:
- Create a sense of camaraderie and support among participants, fostering an environment where artists can learn from and inspire one another.
e. Showcase and Celebrate Diversity:
- Encourage the exploration of diverse cultural influences and individual perspectives in art, celebrating the richness of different artistic voices.
III. Curriculum:
a. Weeks 1-3: Foundations of Drawing and Sketching
- Basic drawing techniques and shading.
b. Weeks 4-6: Composition and Lighting
- Basic understanding of composition setup and creation and utilizing lighting techniques within an image.
c. Weeks 7-9: Painting Techniques and Color Theory
- Introduction to various painting styles, color mixing, and the psychology of color.
d. Weeks 10-12: Personal Projects and Exhibition Preparation
- Participants work on individual projects with mentorship, culminating in an exhibition to showcase their creations.
